Application of method of real options to valuation of investment projects Two technologies for laying of underground optical cables – armored cable directly into the ground and cable of light-weight design into the protective polymer pipe – are compared. A quantitative evaluation of the effectiveness of the development of fiber-optic communication lines is conducted. To achieve these objectives, the method of real options is used.
