The article is devoted to the issues of Power over Ethernet technology – the development of injectors, their compatibility with other equipment, and operational problems. Over the years, periodically there were problems that the author had to solve and questions that required an answer. Some of them are briefly described in these notes, in the title of which the word "injectors" is placed in parentheses, since everything described applies, to a large extent, to PoE technology in general.

The main models of complex SCS objects are considered: permanent links and channels based on an electrically conductive element base used in the process for constructing classic 4-pair and promising single-pair cable lines. The objective necessity of expanding the range of such models is shown as the list of tasks solved by the building information system expands. Their continuity is demonstrated. The objectivity of the necessity of certain reserves in terms of the parameters of cable lines is substantiated.

The purpose of this article is to warn buyers of telecommunication cables. The use of cables with conductors and/or aluminum braids has serious technical limitations. They can only serve simple tasks at a primitive everyday level. CCA conductors do not allow any form of remote PoE power supply.

The urgency of the problem of monitoring the state of fiber optic lines in conditions of temperature-deformation effects is considered. The influence of the optical sensor calibration error and instrumental error on the accuracy of temperature and deformation determination is simulated. A new method of post-processing the reflected Brillouin optical spectrum which makes it possible to obtain more accurate values of temperature or strain in the optics is demonstrated. The results of simulation and experiment showed the reliability of the proposed solutions for simultaneous control of temperature and deformation of an fiber optic cable.

V.M.Nagorsky (1870 – after 1917) is known to a narrow circle of researchers in the history of communications for his unusual inventions at the intersection of telephony and telegraphy. At the beginning of the 20th century, the brilliant engineer and communications organizer V.Nagorskiy made a significant contribution to telephoning the country, in the rebellious 1905 he established communications in Siberia, made an impressive administrative career and deserves to be remembered by descendants and, especially, colleagues.
